DAVE HARTLEY PHOTOGRAPHY

ABOUT ME

From being a child I have always had pets at home, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and, believe it or not, even dart frogs. I adore all animals and love to work with them, which isn’t always easy, but a pocket full of treats seems to work well. I have covered many types of photography in my career as a photographer including weddings, christenings, personal branding and more. I am now focusing mainly on pet photography as thats where my heart is and my love for animals.

WHAT ANIMALS WILL I WORK WITH?

Whatever animal you have as a pet, I will always be happy to work with you, no matter how small or how large. Even if you have a llama, I will gladly work with you. In fact, hold your llama, if you have a llama and want a photo session, I will do it for FREE!

When it comes to dogs I always have treats on hand to ensure we get the best out of my time with you. I also like to spend a little time with your pet for a short while before the photo session starts, this is simply to let your pet get used to me and helps them to trust me and this usually helps get better results.

WHERE DO I DO THE PHOTO SESSIONS

I love to shoot outdoors with your pets in a natural environment, this is where your animals are more relaxed.  I am available to travel to you within a 20 mile radius of Castleford (I will travel further subject to an extra cost). You are also welcome to come to Castleford or a place nearby. I have a place that I can recommend for shoots which is fairly quiet and a beautiful setting. There are lots of trees, long grass and woodland pathways which make for good images.  I am also able to offer studio photo shoots with a range of backgrounds for more formal images of your pet.

CAN I BE PHOTOGRAPHED WITH MY PET?

Of course!  Pets are part of the family, you and your immediate family would be welcome to be involved in group photos with your pet. This is a very popular request and something which I always encourage. I aim to make things fun, enjoyable and relaxed for everyone, including your beloved pet.
P.S. I don’t put a time limit on a photo session, I will continue to shoot until I am confident I have enough quality images to provide you with, even if it takes half the day.
